shogo

was so excited to see this boy.. it has been about 7 years since I have seen him.. I took care of him alot.. when his dad first started with the mariners we all went to every singe home game together.. that in its self was crazy.. the language barrier was hard sometimes when playing with the other players kids.. but we pulled thru it together... hard work always pays off.
but his jr high is right across the street from our apt..
I was rocking ozzy in the morning watching the kids go to school the second day here in Japan.. when I saw this guy waving.. I thought is was a boy being funny ..then looked closer and thought it was sasaki.. but called allen over and it was shogo!!( allen has kept in touch and seen them once a year at the sony open in hawaii as they have a house there and are there in January)
anyways I was so excited I stepped out onto the balcony yelling "gobusata" gobusata" ( been a long time) as I was too excited to see him..
that boy covered his mouth to shhhhh me.. which I thought was so funny as this is the same boy that stripped down butt naked in bellevue park and got in the duck pond to swim!!! as all I could yell was "dame dame" NO NO
funny now that I was getting him.. back:)
later at dinner I told him what I REALLY should have said.. I think he was grateful for the phrase I used.. as that in its self created a stir for him at school.. you do not yell or make a scene here.. just not the japanese way in the least ( but he thought it was cool as he kept laughing when telling us how many people came up to him funny the first time but not so much the second.. I wont push the limit..) .. maybe not the american way either.. but we all know me... I will learn and be good.. allen reminds me I will be shocked when I got back to america as we are a vocal culture..
