so we get in line to get sumo tickets.. to have AT tell us.. its ALL SOLD OUT... no mind .. as I think we will just come back tomorrow.. as..
sumo is a seasonal thing.. its ALL over japan for only two weeks at a time.... every other month.. tokyo is the closest we are going to get to it.. as even at that.. door to this line took us an hour to get here...... it ends this sunday.. we ARE SO COMING BACK...
I am willing to do it all again tomorrow.. as I DO NOT want my family ( jonah and tad mostly ) to miss out on this culture thing..
AT is taking all sorts of business calls.. he is hungry and isn't thinking clearly.. so we kinda wander over to a place that looks like we could take boat ride ANOTHER thing.. I have on my list of things WE MUST do before we go!!! but it ends up being a bus that takes you to another location where you get on a boat tour.. so AT takes another call.. I think.. DUDE.. we got to feed him.. so I see a mckeedees.. lets hit that while we figure out what we should do.. so as AT is half done with his meal.. he decides to give up AN IMPORTANT DETAIL..."well the general admissions is all sold out.. but 36 dollars tickets are available"........DUDE... this is SOOOOOOO the kind of translation I get ALL the time.... THAT IS NOT SOLD OUT!!!!
so I keep telling AT.. dude.. just bite it lets DO it..
he keeps being all japanese.. not wanting to jump in with out KNOWING EXACTLY!!!!!!!what it is going to be like.. PLUS being a MAN.. and NOT just ASKING MORE QUESTIONS.. ( like mama will we be able to roam??) how crowded is it THIS early .. when all the light weights are doing their sumo thing)
so we get in line again.. TO THEN AGAIN get out of line.. as he keeps thinking.. dude.. I don't want to pay that.. to not stay more than 30 minutes cause the kids have had it!!!!
DID WE JUST MOVE HERE??? has HE NOT SEEN what the kids are capable of ????? this is NOT the same bunch of wimps that had a rough go at disneyland spring break 2009.. this is a NEW set of turners that KNOW how to PUSH themselves.. side step the break downs.. the tiredness..and CATCH The second wind!!! again I say.. DID YOU JUST MEET US???
so george and jake are just being like WHATEVER... all the while this being their first day.. just the train ride alone is an experience.. but its getting down to DAYS left in tokyo ( FOR US THE TURNERS) .. I DO NOT want to miss this experience.. but IF I DONT have an AT that is in........
so we start walking back to the station... with a "lets get up early tomorrow and get the tickets.. that we were told usually sell out by 930am.....
I am game for that......I will so do this all over again.... AT knows I mean it!!!
but as we get to the station.. AT says.. we are not pulling the kids out of school again.. we are here we should just go.. ( DUH TO ME.. as this is NOT breezy easy.. it is work.. but the best kind:)

I QUICKLY interup to go off. like that is the stupidest thing ever.. WAY TO GO JONAH.. as WHEN WILL WE EVER get to see sumo again???LETS DO THIS... plus we ALL know. you can get a wii game anyways...
SO finally... we get tickets and walk in.. with in the first few steps inside. I start chanting.. TOTALLY WORTH IT!!
AT's concern was with assign seating with NO room to wiggle, walking around, breathe.. etc etc.. I UNDERSTAND.. but I also knew.. that even being in the stadium... walking around the halls... feeling the feel of it all would be GOOD enough.. I could keep truly busy with walking to he concessions stands.. letting the boys gets snacks/drinks.. NEVER MIND.. I have a mini powerful best mom, sister, friend, cleaner, cook...... weapon of a sister.. and jake.. who is nice to my kids also..
WHY it took us an hour plus to decide to hit this is something I will just call ALLENESS... hungry+distracted by monavie calls+ plus forgetting what WE can do = not clear thinking.....
