friday picking up the boys.. a friend of chiharu said " i'll take the months calendar to her to have her translate it for you"
Saturday at 3 pm I get a buzz its megumi with the calendar translated!!! WHOA number one!! literally must have been up al night.. if you could see all the DETAILS and info they pack in..
well megumi has a daughter in Jonahs class and a sister the same age as truly.. I thought this was neat. so I said come in.. now ozzy has been struggling the last few days with feeding and sleep.. so I had him in my arms.. truly was still down.. bottom line it was an ok time to come in for a few moments.. as I wanted to let her know THANK you.. and please see my home so that you may feel comfortable to let your little girl come play.. as AT keeps telling me.. the boys will learn the language faster if they have play dates..
she sits down. boys are playing wii.. her two little girls being shy.. scoping out the place.. after 30 mins.. I decided to get truly up so she wouldnt miss a play friend.. she was excited to have some people over.. I offered some drinks but she said no sugar please.. HOLY POO did she come to the wrong.. house!!!
anyways its HARD to really have converstation.. as SO many things are going on in my mind.. I know tad is STILL needing the restroom like crazy.. ozzy is needing to be nursed soon.. and he is tired.. boys playing WII.. I am wanting them to shut the thing of as to interact with yorisiko and her sister..
its getting closer to 5 dinner time.. I have fed everyone snacks glore!! I am trying to hold of the boys as they keeping wanting snacks but I say wait till after dinner... they are like well where is it???? I am getting nervous as I am not ready to bust out what I really feed my kids to this MOM.. the HORROR!!!! tads bum is now on fire he is wanting a bath to soak his poor hiney!!
so I bite the bullet and start dishing up the rice with winers and furtikake.. I say would your girls like some?? she says yes please.. then I say would you like some?? yes please.. HOLY crap did I make the rice ok?? I don't know.. I give her a small portion as I dont want her to have to down crappy rice.. she eats it all. do you want more...
after two bags of winers and the whole pan of rice.. I think well she doesnt even know but we have so crossed over into the whatever zone.. as now she has seen it all..
tad hops in the bath tub as I can no longer hold him off.. ( kept trying to hold off each nightly duty as to let her go first but who knows when that was going to be?????)
she even asked at 5 om do you have any plans for the evening? I couldnt even think fast enough as I was on over load of trying to guide my boys that were fighting, pouting over none other the DUMB wii, ozzys needing to eat again..leaving her to be in her own thoughts while I step in the back room.. to be surprised by daughter coming in to say "ni ni" which is like "oh baby going to sleep??? I am thinking "not if you keep coming in here making noise"
bottom line tad taking a bath the girls mom says my daughter wants to take one with him WHOA number two.. at this point I think "what the heck jump in"
well it all happened so fast but soon enough I was shampooing and washing them all down.. I stop to tell the mom.. Oh so cute can I take a pix of just their heads.. she says SURE. but really I am thinking I SO HAVE TO JOURNAL THIS!!
after bath its time to dry their hair as of course they cant go outside with wet hair..
jonah ask for a ice treat well then here goes another round
finally at 7pm she said "we better go" I am simply a idiot that forgets my english slang DOES NOT TRANSLATE!!!!!!! as her little 2 year old wasnt getting ready to go.. I said "oh does she want to spend the night" thinking she would clinge to her mom.. like ok I wont stay I want my own bed.. but NO the mom says oh she would like that.. but I was like wont she cry.. megumi says "oh it will be fine" I am thinking YEAH for You... I'll be here hearing it.. as IN her defense I DID invite the 6 year old to spend the night in the future.. but having a 2 year old is NOT a play date.. that is called watching a kid.. WHOA number three
so after they left I thought "what in the hisazz was that" but then I think what I am doing here?? I keep getting this underlining feeling of I am to stretch myself in ways I did not know I could go!!! and what would the night have been like if they hadnt come?? a bit more peaceful and quite.. but I do get plenty of those that it was ok to be different for a night:)

Way to step out of your comfort zone Jaime! It must have been so fun for that little girl to be able to have a night different from the normal routine and do something her older sister couldn't do! She must have felt special. It's funny...Allen and I have a very similar picture of us in a bathtub with our friends in Japan. This is so normal and I love that the kids are getting the real Japanese experience!and just think...the more they have these experiences, the more they will have in common with Allen and his childhood. that's something I wish I could give Kai, but will be very difficult. It's wonderful that the kids will have something fun like this to reminisce about in the future.
ReplyDeleteThat is HILARIOUS!!! I seriously laughed out loud! So stinkin' funnY!
ReplyDeleteWhat?!!!! Who took my Jaime and what did you do with her? :) I seriously think that I would have stopped breathing! I'm SO proud of you for stepping back and letting your kids experience the Japanese way of life! These are things that they will remember forever!
